An Outline of the dates of the Book of Ezekiel
In Ezekiel 1:2 Ezekiel dates the beginning of his book as in the 5th year of Jehoiachin's captivity which would also be the first year of Zedekiah. Ezekiel gives the dates when prophecies were received. It is assumed that all the material that follows a certain date belongs to that date until the next date is mentioned. The chart below gives the verse, year, month and day of the section and then the calendar year.
